Corporate Development Renew Water Business Development Manager

Promotes and sells an innovative pond-based water treatment process to reclaim water, energy and nutrients to agricultural, industry and small municipality waste water treatment facilities. The treatment process includes engineering and construction services to be collaboratively delivered by Go2Water Solutions and Renew Water Construction or Teichert Construction in the geographic region designed by agreement between companies. In addition to promoting, selling, closing and servicing customers, this role provides market information, competitive intelligence and sales forecasting to facilitate planning and business growth.



- Actively supports the achievement of joint Teichert and Go2Water Solutions objectives by selling construction services and byproducts such as recycled water, pond nutrients and energy in the target markets
- Develops and maintains a sales pipeline to uncover new opportunities. Submits timely data for the annual survey that assists in forecasting future business opportunities.
- Builds and sustains profitable business relationships with external clients, such as public and private facility operators, designers, specifiers and regulatory agencies to increase business opportunities, bring in repeat customers and obtain industry referrals
- Uses executive selling skills to close projects and win profitable revenue growth in new markets or expand sales in existing markets.
- Maintains a customer focus through communication and understanding of customer’s needs
- Staying abreast of and evaluating regulatory and specifier trends in the industry. Monitors market developments and trends in categories of interest to Renew Water
- Gathers and provides market research, customer information, competitive data, and feedback to make improvements to company competitiveness, revenue growth and customer satisfaction
- Assists estimators on mark-up strategies for jobs
- Plans and/or hosts social events to assist in maintaining and developing customer relationships as necessary to meet business objectives as well as build meaningful relationships
- Actively pursues and participates in industry related associations and trade groups
- Collaborates across Go2Water and Teichert Construction resources to build consistent business development practices while remaining in alignment with company values and objectives.
- Ensures policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to as well as protect the company’s interests and brand.
- Timely completes internal administrative responsibilities
Visibly supports Teichert’s Injury Prevention and Safety program and operates in a safe manner






- Engineering degree strongly preferred or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience  
Experience & Industry Expertise:
- Minimum of five (5) years in engineering, business development, construction estimating or project management in waste water treatment processes and systems, especially in California and western markets
- Prior experience selling construction services or products to specifiers such as engineers and agency decision-makers
- Experience conducting comprehensive market research to maximum sales opportunities
- Experience in developing customer centric strategies, and developing and delivering winning proposals 
Specific Job Requirements:
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug, alcohol, and background investigation
- Valid Driver’s License
- Willingness to travel overnight 50 percent or more of the time
- Results-oriented, self-starter with effective account and time management skills
- Outgoing personality
- Exceptional executive selling skills with an emphasis on opportunity analysis, listening, communications and presentation
- Track record of proven sales and closing results
- Comprehensive understanding of the waste water treatment processes and systems, particularly in agricultural, industrial or municipal facilities
- Strong negotiation and problem solving skills, leading to win-win outcomes
- Ability to gather and analyze data and other variables for preparing and presenting value-based presentations and written proposals
- Driven to meeting and exceeding business and financial milestones through new business acquisition and collaboration with construction service designers and providers
- Intermediate level ability in use of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook)
