The municipality also owns 15 substations, 100 feeders, 730 miles of underground distribution and 65 miles of transmission lines.

We are looking for the right candidate to fill a Power Engineer II position for a municipality located in California. A public power leader, the complex and progressive nature of the municipality operations offers a unique mix of challenges and opportunities for its employees. The candidate will be able to perform sophisticated electrical engineering and project management activities related to the design, planning, construction and maintenance of power systems. This individual will be well versed in all components of electrical equipment including distribution systems, substations, switchyards and transmission lines.

Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education experiences

·         Project Management, including cost estimating and budget motoring and control

·         2 years minimum of relevant experience principles and practices of electric power engineering as applied to the design and construction of electric utilities
