The Electric Utility for the City has an opportunity for an ELECTRIC UTILITY DISTRIBUTION PLANNER. A part of the Electric Utility Distribution Planning group will assist with distribution service planning by: Designing new and modifying existing overhead and underground electric transmission and distribution facilities; preparing work orders, estimates, material lists, standard drawings, cost of service studies; and performing other related and routine duties that provide support to the electric utility distribution service planning program.

Qualifications:

  • Three years relevant experience with an Electric Utility in a estimating/design distribution capacity
  • AutoCAD Experience
  • Ability to interact effectively with public and employees

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree with appropriate technical coursework
  • PLS-CAD and/or other pole modeling software
  • GIS Software (Geographic Information Systems)

 

Required experience:

  • Relevant experience with an Electric Utility: 3 years
